Arrowroot powder is a white, flavourless powder produced from the rhizomes of arrowroot plant. It is commonly used to thicken food items like gravy, puddings and soups. It is a great medicine for people who are affected by digestive disorders. It is administered to people with diarrhea for getting fast relief. It helps in digestion, weight loss and improves heart health.
For diarrhea: Add two tablespoon of arrowroot powder into water and boil it. Drink this every 2-3 hours. Arrowroot porridge for babies: Add one tablespoon of arrowroot powder to 50 ml water and stir well. Boil water in a pan and cook for 3 minutes. Add milk and sugar if required. Adding shredded coconut will improve taste.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Keep the container airtight after opening the seal.
